Ross grew up in a small town in southwest PA, and studied chemical engineering at Case Western Reserve University, where he met his husband, Anthony. After completing his master's degree, he began his career at Bridgestone in Akron. He and Anthony rented an apartment in Stow for a few years until they bought their forever home in Munroe Falls in 2017. Upon moving to the city, he joined the Park Board, replacing his previous role on the board of Akron Metro. He served as chair for three years, and led the memorial brick sale fundraiser for the Veteran's Memorial maintenance and improvement project. Ross is also involved with his church, Christ Episcopal in Kent. He believes that, having been given so much in life, he has a duty to work to make life better for others, and strives to work with the rest of City Council to do just that!
